Stage Three: Fund It

Answering The Three Key Questions

With your financial planner you have visualised and defined your key life goals. You have worked
out the cost of your current and desired Lifestyle, incorporating the estimated cost of all these future goals and aspirations.

Now we need to work out "how much" you need. We need to crunch your "number" by pulling together all of your incomes, assets, wealth, investments, and matching these against your Lifestyle costs, both current and future.

This process answers the three key questions:
  1. How much is "enough"?
  2. How will you get "enough"?
  3. When will you have "enough"?

What Do The Answers To These Questions Mean?

These answers will let you know when you will be financially independent. You will know what you have to do to reach that moment. And you will know the consequences of not taking such actions.

In other words you will have financial clarity. For the first time you will be able to see your own financial future decades hence.

This Is Your Lifetime Financial Forecast

Only now, at this stage, when we have put the horse before the cart, do we begin to talk about possible financial products. Until we produce and present your Lifetime Financial Forecast we have no idea what products - if any - are needed by or are suitable for you.

Does this sound like a refreshing way to receive highly personal financial advice? We hope so.

Of course, a financial plan is built on a raft of assumptions. Almost none of these will be borne out in reality.
